Physiculus Longicavis (Physiculus longicavis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Moridae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 20.8 cm. It occurs at depths between 160 and 290 metres. With a trophic level of 3.4, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.
Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 73 - 79; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 70 - 74; Vertebrae: 54 - 57. Chin barbel short; pyloric caeca 10-11; rounded light organ on abdomen in front of the center of the distance between the end of the bases of the pelvic fins and anal opening; ventral cavity extends to the level of the 13th/14th ray of the anal fin. Caudal fin rounded.: elongated.
