🐟 Physical Description

Dorsal spines (total): 2 - 4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 4 - 6; Anal spines: 8 - 10; Anal soft rays: 11 - 14; Vertebrae: 25 - 26. Absence of lateral ocellus on middle of flank; presence of a conspicuous mid-lateral stripe; number of abdominal ribs usually 8 starting on second vertebra; and a single epural in the caudal fin. Posterior branch of first pelvic soft ray elongated as filament that projects slightly beyond fin membrane .: fusiform / normal.

🥚 Reproduction

In captivity, the male predominantly picks up the released egss from the bottom of the tank and stores them in a nest built beneath a projecting corner of a small stone. The nest has a number of small air bubbles and several dozen eggs that together formed a compact mass that adhered to the stone .
