Isiki loach
📖 Overview
Isiki loach (Oxynoemacheilus mesudae), first described by akan, 2012 is a small fish in the family Nemacheilidae (order Cypriniformes). Adults typically reach 8.90 cm in maximum length. It inhabits freshwater systems including rivers, streams, and lakes. It occurs in Subtropical waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Endangered.

Dorsal soft rays (total): 10; Anal soft rays: 7 - 8. Can be distinguished from all angorae group species of Oxynoemacheilus in Turkey by its shape of bony capsule of swim bladder, color pattern and some body ratios .: elongated.
