📖 Overview
Oreichthys Cosuatis (Oreichthys cosuatis), first described by Hamilton, 1822 is a small fish. Adults typically reach 8.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits freshwater systems including rivers, streams, and lakes. It occurs in Tropical waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Least Concern.

🐟 Physical Description
Oreichthys cosuatis differs from Oreichthys coorgensis by the absence of a spot on the caudal-fin base (vs. presence), having a bright-yellow dorsal fin with a large black mark covering the distal margin of the dorsal fin, and red ventral fins (vs. hyaline dorsal and ventral fins with an inconspicuous black bar on the tip of the dorsal fin), and a black spot in the anal fin (vs. a black bar on the anal fin) . : fusiform / normal.
