Ferocious coralbrotula (Ogilbichthys ferocis) is a ray-finned fish. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in reef-associated environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 2.9 cm. It occurs at depths between 0 and 5 metres. With a trophic level of 3.1, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List.

This species is characterized by the following: dorsal fin rays 56-65, anal fin rays 46-51; otolith with fused colliculi; few large scales on cheek; dentary with 2-4 large fangs in mid section; anterior inner pseudoclasper disc-shaped and inwardly-directed, larger than posterior inner pseudoclasper; outer pseudoclasper small and lobate .
