Odontesthes Platensis (Odontesthes platensis), first described by Berg, 1895 is a small fish in the family Atherinopsidae (order Atheriniformes). Adults typically reach 11.90 cm in maximum length. It is diadromous, migrating between freshwater and marine environments during its life cycle. It occurs in Temperate waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator.
