Ocosia Vespa (Ocosia vespa) is a ray-finned fish of the family Tetrarogidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 8 cm. It occurs at depths between 75 and 91 metres. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
Dorsal spines (total): 15 - 17; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7 - 9; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 4 - 6; Vertebrae: 27 - 29. Spines on lateral surface of the lachrymal present but none on the lateral surface of the first suborbital bone . Dorsal fin membranes not incised; second and third spines not especially elongate relative to the succeeding ones. Third infraorbital bone with a lump on lateral face. Minute stubby papillae covering premaxillary and anterior part of lower jaw .
