📖 Overview
The Sargasso Sea is defined by ocean currents, not coasts. Its still surface waters host massive rafts of drifting Sargassum, which shelter juvenile fish, sea turtles, and endemic Sargassum fish. Both European and American eels travel thousands of kilometres to spawn here.
