Neosho madtom (Noturus placidus) is a ray-finned fish of the family Ictaluridae. It inhabits freshwater waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 8.7 cm. With a trophic level of 3.3, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List.

Freshwater; demersal; non-migratory . Temperate; 38°N - 36°N North America: Arkansas River drainage in USA: Spring River in southwestern Missouri and southeastern Kansas; Cottonwood and Neosho rivers in eastern Kansas and northeastern Oklahoma; lower few miles of Illinois River in eastern central Oklahoma.
