📖 Overview

Nezumia Suilla (Nezumia suilla) is a ray-finned fish of the family Macrouridae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 25.2 cm. It occurs at depths between 860 and 915 metres. With a trophic level of 3.3, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Terminal snout scutes small; suborbital ridge developed; underside of snout, gular part, and branchiostegal membrane naked; spinules on body scale flattened, relatively broad . Band of small pointed teeth in both jaws. Head fully scaled except for gular and branchiostegal membranes .: elongated.
