📖 Overview
Dawn threadfin bream (Nemipterus aurora) is a ray-finned fish of the family Nemipteridae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 20 cm. It occurs at depths between 56 and 90 metres. With a trophic level of 3.8, it is a mid-level predator. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Dorsal spines (total): 10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 7. Body pinkish above, shading through pale mauve to silvery on ventral half with 4 or 5 longitudinal, upward-curved silvery-white stripes along the middle of each scale row below lateral line.: fusiform / normal.
