📖 Overview
Grey mirrorbelly (Monacoa griseus), first described by Poulsen, Sado, Hahn, Byrkjedal, Moku & Miya, 2016 is a small fish. Adults typically reach 6.40 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 0 to 521 metres. It occurs in Deep-water waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator.

🐟 Physical Description
This species is distinguished by the following characters: a greyish anterior part of the sole, abruptly changing just in front of the pelvic fins, to a dense pigmented posterior part; two adult specimens show in addition, a relatively weak irregular large blotch just in front of the change in pigmentation, centered approximately below the anterior part of the dorsal fin in the vertical plane; scale pockets possibly relatively light .: short and / or deep; Cross section: other (see remarks).
