📖 Overview
Eastern mogurnda (Mogurnda orientalis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Eleotridae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 11 cm. With a trophic level of 3.4, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List.

🌍 Habitat & Distribution
Freshwater; benthopelagic. Tropical; 8°S - 9°S known only from streams in the vicinity of Safia near the eastern extremity of New Guinea on the north-eastern side of the Owen Stanley Range.
