📖 Overview

Adults are found in coastal, brackish and fresh water, landlocked in several lakes. They feed mostly on small crustaceans, (especially shrimps and amphipods); also worms, small mollusks, squids and fishes (smelt, sticklebacks, striped bass, alewives, shed, herring and sculpins.
