Dorsal spines (total): 2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 16 - 18. Body height 3.8-4 times in standard length . Head length 3.8-4 times in standard length . Lateral line complete . Black mediolateral band starting behind operculum, quickly enlarging towards the back and ending at the origin of the caudal fin . Mediolateral band silvery in live specimens . Fins without black spot . Black mediodorsal spot present .: fusiform / normal.
