📖 Overview
Candy basslet (Liopropoma carmabi), first described by Randall, 1963 is a small fish in the family Epinephelidae (order Perciformes). Adults typically reach 6.00 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 15 to 70 metres. It occurs in Tropical waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Least Concern.

Dorsal spines (total): 6 - 7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12 - 13. Head, body, and caudal fin alternately striped with yellow-orange and lavender, these stripes separated by red lines .: fusiform / normal.
