Leptobotia Paucipinna (Leptobotia paucipinna) is a ray-finned fish of the family Botiidae. It inhabits freshwater waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 9.1 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.
This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: plain brown body or no other colour formation; 4 + 39-40 vertebrae; pectoral fins (length less than 11.5% of LS); dorsal fin inserted opposite to or slightly posterior to the pelvic-fin insertion; posteriorly-moved anus (vent to anal distance 43.6%-52.2% of the pelvic to anal distance); white dorsal fin with a black subdistal band; deeply forked caudal fin (the longest ray 1.6-1.9) with two broadly pointed lobes and yellowish white with a roughly W-shaped black blotch .: elongated; Cross section: oval.
