🐟 Physical Description

A rather generalized Leporinus (body not very elongated, mouth not inferior, anterior nostrils not very long, inferior symphisial teeth developed but not laterally compressed) of the fasciatus group, sharing with the sub-group comprising L. desmotes, L. yophorus, and L. pearsoni the possession of relatively few (6 or 7), partly divided, transverse bars, and unique in the form of these bars .: elongated.
