📖 Overview
Laocypris Hispida (Laocypris hispida) is a ray-finned fish of the family Cyprinidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 5.3 cm. It occurs at depths between 0 and 1 metres. With a trophic level of 3, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Data Deficient on the IUCN Red List.

5-6 irregularly shaped and placed black bars, black blotch at end of caudal peduncle; last simple dorsal ray slender, not serrated posteriorly; snout, cheeks and lower jaw covered by conspicuous and densely set tubercles; lower lip not interrupted in middle .
