Maeklong sheatfish (Kryptopterus hesperius) is a ray-finned fish of the family Siluridae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 24.9 cm. With a trophic level of 4.1, it is a mid-level predator.

Fins hyaline, with small dark-brown spots occasionally present . : elongated.
