Blue rockcod (Indonotothenia cyanobrancha) is a ray-finned fish. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 30 cm. With a trophic level of 3.4, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.
Dorsal spines (total): 4 - 6; Dorsal soft rays (total): 33 - 36; Anal soft rays: 30 - 34. Uniformly brownish but with darker markings or uniformly black. Prominent acoustico-lateralis channel on the head, absence of connecting orbital branches of the ethmoid, short frontal and narrow parasphenoid .: fusiform / normal.
