Longfin Irish lord (Hemilepidotus zapus), first described by Gilbert & Burke, 1912 is a medium-sized fish in the family Hemilepidotidae (order Perciformes). Adults typically reach 26.00 cm in maximum length. Reported lifespan reaches approximately 9 years. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 61 to 530 metres. It occurs in Polar waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator.
