📖 Overview
Harttia Punctata (Harttia punctata), first described by Daniel & Oliveira, 2001 is a medium-sized fish in the family Loricariidae (order Siluriformes). Adults typically reach 16.60 cm in maximum length. It inhabits freshwater systems including rivers, streams, and lakes. It occurs in Tropical waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Least Concern.The species is kept in the aquarium hobby. Care requirements and behaviour align broadly with other Loricariidae kept in the hobby.

🐟 Physical Description
Head short and relatively deep, 2 - 2.6 times its HL; short body. Spotted color pattern associated to abdominal scutation, a longitudinal row of irregular plates. Pectoral spine with a dermal, non-filamentous extension. Lateral plates, 27-29. Confluence of lateral keels at 18-19th plate. Rictal barbel short and inconspicuous. Triangular shaped opercle.: elongated.
