📖 Overview
Thessaly gudgeon (Gobio feraeensis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Gobionidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 10 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.

Differs from other congeners in Europe by having the following characters: scale rows between anus and anal origin 3-4; scales on lateral line 36-38 + 2-3; scale rows between lateral line and pelvic origin 3½ -4; breast scaled between pectorals; scales around caudal peduncle 16; distance between anus and anal origin smaller than eye diameter; and eye diameter 1.0-1.3 times in interorbital distance .: elongated.
