aquarium (Garra nigricollis), first described by Kullander & Fang, 2004 is a small fish in the family Cyprinidae (order Cypriniformes). Adults typically reach 13.10 cm in maximum length. It inhabits freshwater systems including rivers, streams, and lakes. It occurs in Tropical waters. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Data Deficient.The species is kept in the aquarium hobby. Care requirements and behaviour align broadly with other Cyprinidae kept in the hobby.

🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 8; Vertebrae: 27 - 29. A moderately large species of Garra with smoothly rounded snout, rostral lobes present, proboscis absent, tubercles on anterior aspect of snout, scaled predorsal region, chest and abdomen, two pairs of barbels, lateral line scales 33, circumpeduncular scale rows 16. Distinguished from other Garra species by a black band across the posterior margin of the head, between left and right side pectoral fin bases.: elongated.
