Plain dark brown body and fins, sometimes with 5-6 narrow stripes more or less distinct; outline of upper lip and disc circular; snout rounded with only small tubercles and without transverse groove; no barbels; caudal peduncle 1.8-2.0 times longer than deep (specimens larger 8 cm SL) .: elongated.
