Caribbean gambusia (Gambusia puncticulata) is a ray-finned fish of the family Poeciliidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 3.6 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

After about 24 days gestation, female gives birth to 10-40 young. Sexual maturity is reached after 3 or 4 months.
Freshwater; brackish; benthopelagic; non-migratory. Tropical; 26°C - 30°C Central America: throughout Cuba, Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Bahamas.
