A long-nosed, dwarf catshark with a narrow head, large eyes, and small labial furrows; upper caudal fin margin with prominent crest of enlarged sawtooth-like denticles . Pale brown, paler ventrally; juveniles have dark saddles that become less prominent in adults .: elongated.
