Euclichthys Robertsi (Euclichthys robertsi) is a ray-finned fish of the family Euclichthyidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 27.3 cm. It occurs at depths between 410 and 960 metres. With a trophic level of 3.5, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.

Dorsal spines (total): 1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 91 - 104; Anal spines: 1; Anal soft rays: 93 - 103; Vertebrae: 68 - 73. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: body depth at anal-fin origin 15-17% SL; greatest body depth 1.0-1.2 times length of longest first dorsal-fin ray; horizontal snout length 3.5-4.4% SL; horizontal diameter of eye 5.2-5.9% SL, 1.3-1.5 times interorbital width; interorbital width relatively narrow 3.8-4.3% SL; orbit-upper jaw width 1.8-2.4% SL; caudal peduncle depth 1.7-2.2% SL; caudal-fin length 2-8 times caudal peduncle length; anal-fin base relatively long, length 53-57% SL; length of longest pelvic-fin ray 23-29% SL, 1.5-1.9 times length of longest first dorsal-fin ray; length of longest first dorsal-fin ray 14-16% SL; accessory caudal-fin bones X rarely absent, Y usually present; first ventral procurrent ray linked to hemal spine of vertebrae 8-10; dorsal-fin rays total 91-104; anal-fin rays total 93-103; pectoral-fin rays 20; caudal-fin rays 37-43; primary rakers in outer gill arch 20-22; total vertebrae 68-73; scales relatively small, ~25 in transverse line from anal-fin base posteriorly to dorsal margin of body .Cross section: compressed.
