📖 Overview
Inhabits shallow calm waters amongst vegetation, along the river edge . Ripe adults were caught undertaking upstream migration on a possible spawning run in mid summer after the first rise in water level .

Dorsal spines (total): 3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8 - 9; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 5 - 6. Anterior barbel short, about quarter eye diameter; posterior barbel also short, about half eye diameter . Well-defined spots on flanks .: fusiform / normal.
