A demersal species with unknown depth distribution but presumably inhabits outer continental shelf and/or upper slope . Oviparous . Eggs have horn-like projections on the shell . Length of specimen (39 cm TL) was based on a young male observed to have developed state of thorn patches on pectoral fins, and presumambly approaching maturity .
