📖 Overview
Dactyloscopus Insulatus (Dactyloscopus insulatus), first described by Dawson, 1975 is a fish in the family Dactyloscopidae (order Blenniiformes). It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. It occurs in Tropical waters. Diet is predominantly piscivorous, targeting other fish and larger prey. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Vulnerable.

🐟 Physical Description
Distinguished from D. pectoralis and D. fallax by having the following characters: scales present above the lateral line; upper lip fimbriae 10-11; preopercular canal pores, modally 10; unbranched labial fimbriae .
