Cyphocottus Megalops (Cyphocottus megalops), first described by Gratzianov, 1902 is a medium-sized fish. Adults typically reach 16.50 cm in maximum length. Reported lifespan reaches approximately 9 years. It inhabits freshwater systems including rivers, streams, and lakes. Recorded depth range: 25 to 600 metres. It occurs in Deep-water waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Least Concern.
