🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 9; Anal soft rays: 7; Vertebrae: 31. This species is distinguished by the following set of characters: a single, dark, straight, longitudinal stripe from snout to caudal-fin base, and, from supracleithrum to vertical through posterior insertion of adipose fin, stripe mostly confined to lateral-line scale row and of uniform intensity with melanophores concentrated superficially; horizontal alignment of the midlateral stripe on the body with the dark postorbital mark and patch of dark pigmentation on snout; absence of dark lozenge-shaped blotch on the caudal peduncle; scales in midlateral series 32; total pectoral-fin rays 15-16; distalmost margin of anal fin distant from same vertical by at least two scales); dark midlateral stripe extending finishing at caudal-fin base; total vertebrae 31 .: elongated; Cross section: compressed.
