📖 Overview
Smoothnose legskate (Cruriraja durbanensis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Gurgesiellidae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 23 cm. With a trophic level of 3.7, it is a mid-level predator. It is assessed as Data Deficient on the IUCN Red List.

Legskates have pelvic fins separated into a mobile leg-like front lobe, and a rear lobe that may be fused to the tail base . Uniformly reddish-brown above, lighter below .: other.
