Northern kongnose cory (Corydoras septentrionalis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Callichthyidae. It inhabits freshwater waters in benthic environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 4.9 cm. With a trophic level of 3, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

🥚 Reproduction
The female holds 2-4 eggs between her pelvic fins, where the male fertilizes them for about 30 seconds. Only then the female swims to a suitable spot, where she attaches the very sticky eggs. The pair repeats this process until about 100 eggs have been fertilized and attached .
