📖 Overview
Notable whiptail (Coelorinchus innotabilis) is a ray-finned fish of the family Macrouridae. It inhabits marine (saltwater) waters in deep-water environments. This species can reach a maximum total length of 32 cm. It occurs at depths between 554 and 1463 metres. With a trophic level of 3.3, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms.

Color is pale ochre overall; the abdomen bluish below the upper level of the pectoral-fin base; the mouth and gill cavities black.: elongated; Cross section: circular.
