Slender-head conger (Bathycongrus graciliceps), first described by Smith & Ho, 2018 is a large fish in the family Congridae (order Anguilliformes). Adults typically reach 47.30 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. It occurs in Subtropical waters. It feeds on a mix of small fish and invertebrates as a mid-level predator.

Vertebrae: 163. This species is distinguished by the following characters: moderately large and elongate, deepest near mid-trunk and tapering at both ends to a slender tail and head; head small, about 12.7-13.1% TL, snout acute; trunk long, 2.0-2.1 times head length; vertebrae in preanal 43-46, total 163; preanal lateral-line pores 39-41 .Cross section: oval.
