🐟 Physical Description
Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal soft rays: 8. Distinguished from other species of the genus by the combination of the following characters: lateral length of head 19-22% SL (23-25% in B. mysorensis), caudal peduncle 1.9-2.8 times longer than deep (3.0-4.2 times in B. burmanica and B. brucei). Distinguished from B. annamitica by its color pattern consisting of somewhat irregular blotches on the back (versus circular in B. annamitica) . With 9-10 unbranched pectoral-fin rays .: elongated.
