Aphyosemion Castaneum (Aphyosemion castaneum) is a ray-finned fish of the family Nothobranchiidae. It inhabits freshwater waters. This species can reach a maximum total length of 3.4 cm. With a trophic level of 3.2, it is a low-level carnivore, feeding on invertebrates and small organisms. It is assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
This species can be separated from its congeners by the red band in the anal fin and by the very dark red border on the dorsal and caudal fins . The body is blue colored with no more than 50 red points .: fusiform / normal.
