Diagnosis: Simple teeth or with weak shoulders; nasal pore 1 with pigmented papilla; black peritoneum; single, finger-like projection on the orobuccal valve, its cavity pale; gill rakers 8 - 12, short and blunt; interorbital papilla may be present or absent; pyloric caeca on the right side; body is red; iris silver gray .: fusiform / normal.
