🐟 Physical Description

Dorsal spines (total): 12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 18 - 20; Anal spines: 2; Anal soft rays: 20 - 22. Anal fin of females with alternating dark and pale bands; anal fin of males with a broad, somewhat evenly dusky, marginal stripe. Presence of a supraorbital tentacle; with or without a nuchal cirrus; absence of canine tooth on posterior of lower jaw; brownish or reddish brown coloration lost after preservation .
