📖 Overview
Alabes Springeri (Alabes springeri), first described by Hutchins, 2006 is a tiny fish in the family Gobiesocidae (order Gobiesociformes). Adults typically reach 3.10 cm in maximum length. It inhabits marine coastal and open-ocean environments. Recorded depth range: 0 to 10 metres. It occurs in Temperate waters. It is broadly omnivorous, taking invertebrates, plant matter, and detritus. On the IUCN Red List, it is classified as Data Deficient.

🐟 Physical Description
This species is distinguished by the combination of its small gill opening (8.8 in HL), lack of a pelvic-fin rudiment, narrow interorbital space (8.8 in HL), presence of only 2 cephalic pores in the lateral line system, and the origin of the dorsal-fin fold posteriorly placed .: eel-like.
