🐟 Physical Description

Has a rounded snout with a length of 2.0-2.8 times in head length; dorsal-fin origin above pelvic-fin origin; usually a very faint color pattern (more conspicuous in specimens from clear water) with a midlateral row of about 7-12 dark blotches; a row of about 10-15 mid-dorsal blotches; sometimes a few scattered spots on the dorsal half of the body; a black stripe from eye to the tip of snout; a conspicuous roundish black spot a the upper extremity of caudal-fin base; a fainter spot at the lower extremity.: elongated.
